We are a group made up of former shipmates who served on LSMs and LSMRs from 1944 to 1970. We have almost 2,400 members and have located another 6000.
If you served aboard one of these ships or if your father or grandfather served on one of them, we'd like to hear from you.
Our organization was started in 1989 and has grown steadily. We publish a highly respected newsletter 3 times a year & have annual reunions around the country.

During World War II, the saying "Kilroy Was Here!" began to appear as graffiti at home and wherever the American military traveled abroad. Whoever Kilroy was, had 'been there first'. As a joke, American troops began placing the graffiti wherever the US forces landed and claimed it had already been there when they'd arrived.
